How Model Airplanes Fly

After the successful flight of the man-carrying vehicle made by the Wright brothers, interest in aviation spread rapidly and many models were made. Model airplane enthusiasts are already existing in the early 1900s’. Most of the models are rubber powered, twining type with double stick fuselages that are common in Europe. But even in the early days of model flying, small petrol and compressed air engines are already being used. The materials used in model constructions are birch strips, veneer, spruce, piano wire or bamboo and oiled silk covering.

Then balsa structure and tissue covering appeared in the United States in the late 1920s’. So much for the history of model aircraft. So you see, even today, the airplane structure and how it fly is no
different from the one we are flying today. The wings, fuselage, vertical and horizontal stabilizers, propellers, engines, landing gears are the same. The airplane, to fly and have control during flight uses them. The wings are obviously responsible why the airplane can
stay in the air for a long time. With proper design of the airplane, dimensions, weight considerations and aerodynamic design characteristics it will fly successfully. The aerodynamic principles behind it is what really makes it fly. But even though it has a good design, weight and balance plays a major role. There was a saying that a feather flies better than a brick which is true because a very heavy airplane wont fly if it cannot be sustained by its power plant (engine, propeller, and fuel tank). And with regards to balancing, a well-balanced airplane is controllable during flight. Usually the fulcrum or center of gravity is located of the wing chord. Balancing it is by placing your fingers on both sides of the wing, then relocating the receiver, batteries and servos until the airplane is balanced.

You may ask why the center of gravity is located of the wing chord? It has something to do with aerodynamic center, neutral point that can be explained in detail with some illustrations by following the link on the bottom.

When you look at the cross section of the wing, the shape is called an airfoil. Basically the airfoil consist of upper and lower camber, leading and trailing edge. When the airplane is flying, there are aerodynamic forces that interact with the wings, vertical and horizontal stabilizers because the airplane is going against the air or commonly called relative wind. Then it creates a variance of pressure on the upper versus the lower camber of the airfoil (or the wing itself) which generates lift. The air that passed the lower camber should have a higher pressure against the upper camber to sustain flight. This has something to do with law of continuity. The air molecules that separates from the leading edge, going to the upper and lower camber, should meet at the trailing edge at the same time. Since the upper camber has a greater curve than the lower camber, the distance on the upper camber is longer and therefore requires more velocity to meet the air on the lower camber. This creates a lower pressure on the upper camber based on the Bernoulli’s theorem, “as the velocity of air increases, pressure decreases”

Hope my brief explanation is understandable. If you want to know the details with visual aids about the model airplane theory of flight, I suggest going to my site: http://www.rcaeronautics4dodos.filipinovegetarianrecipe.com

Cow Brings Better Life To Orphans in Uganda

Geofrey Okello of Uganda was just 14 in 1998 when AIDS turned his life upside down. That was when his father died, leaving Geofrey, his mother and five siblings to fend for themselves.

His mother did the best she could but she too was sick. When she died in 2002, Geofrey, then 18, found himself to be the sole provider for his family. He had to quit college and return home to care for his brothers and sisters in the village of Jinja Wailaka.

The family often went to bed hungry as Geofrey scratched out a meager living selling corn and charcoal at the side of the road. Then a neighbor invited him to a meeting to hear about how Heifer International, a nonprofit organization that provides livestock and agricultural training, helps people become self-reliant.

Geofrey seized the opportunity and worked hard to learn how to care for the dairy cow that Heifer promised to deliver when he had completed his training. He built a cowshed, fenced in the yard to create a garden and planted native trees and grasses that were not only good for the environment but would provide fodder for the cow.

Last year, Geofrey received a cow, which he named Margaret, after his mother.

“My mother provided us life and did all she could for a better future. Now my cow provides this gift of life for us,” he said.

His small yard has changed from hard-packed red clay to fertile plots of organic squash, greens, beans, papayas, bananas and other fruits, which he learned to grow through Heifer International training. He prides himself on his immaculately clean cowshed and the four gallons of rich milk that Margaret can produce in a day.

He pays his siblings’ school tuition with income he earns from selling milk and now believes someday he too will reach his dream of getting a diploma.

“There are others just like me because the AIDS epidemic goes on,” he said. “Soon I will pass on a calf. In Heifer’s plan, everyone that receives training and an animal gives this gift to another family in need.”

Starting A Business: Sole Proprietor Or Corporation?

When starting a business, it is important to consider the potential tax and legal issues. Most people choose a “sole proprietor” as their business type when starting out. Starting your business as a sole proprietor does not require any special paperwork from the IRS.

Which is exactly why most people start out this way. Being a sole proprietor means that you and the business are one and the same.

According to the IRS:

“A sole proprietorship is an unincorporated business that is owned by one individual. It is the simplest form of business organization to start and maintain. The business has no existence apart from you, the owner. Its liabilities are your personal liabilities. You undertake the risks of the business for all assets owned, whether used in the business or personally owned. You include the income and expenses of the business on your own tax return.”

However, even though a sole proprietorship is the simplest way to set up your business, you still need to follow your local business regulations to make your business legitimate. And you are personally responsible for paying both income taxes and business debts.

So, is being a sole proprietor the right business structure for you?

For most home business, in the beginning, yes.

If you choose to start your business as a sole proprietor, you do have the option of incorporating as your business grows.

What is the difference between a sole proprietor and corporation?

Unlike a sole proprietorship, a corporation is a legal entity in which the individual and business are separate. The great thing about incorporating is taht the corporation protects you from personal liability for business debts. For example, if your business gets sued, your personal assets are safe, for the most part.

And, you may be able to save a significant amount of money in taxes by incorporating.

If you decide to incorporate, there are several options:

S Corporation
C Corporation
LLC (Limited Liability Corporation)

Before incorporating, it is a good idea to check with the IRS and your tax professional first.

Setting up a corporation is more complicated – and may not be right for your business!

Understanding Futures Trading

Many people have the notion that commodity futures trading is very difficult to understand. It may only seem difficult when you are new to futures trading, but once you understand the inner workings and get a hang of it, you will be well on your way to success.

People have a common misconception that commodity exchanges determine or establish the prices at which commodity futures are bought and sold. This is not true. Prices are determined by supply and demand conditions. Just keep in mind that if there are more buyers than sellers, prices will be forced up and vice versa.

Buy and sell orders, which originate from all sources and are channeled into the exchange-trading floor for execution, are actually the ones to determine the prices. These buy and sell orders are translated into actual purchases and sales on the trading floor.

The major function of the futures market is the transfer of risk, and increased liquidity between traders with different risk and time preferences, for instance from a hedger to a speculator. Futures trading is a method used to eliminate or minimize risks that occur when the prices in the market fluctuates.

Futures contracts are exchange-traded derivatives. A futures contract is traded on a futures exchange, to buy or sell a certain underlying instrument at a certain date in the future, at a pre-set price. Futures contracts are basically for assumption or hedging.

There are two groups of futures traders: the hedgers, who are interested in the underlying commodity and are seeking to hedge out the risk of changes in price; and the speculators, who are interested in making a profit by predicting market moves and buying a commodity “on paper” for which they have no practical use. For example, commodities in the market can be bought today at today’s price, with the speculation of selling them at a higher price in the future.

On the other hand, hedging protects against fluctuations in market prices. This protection is made by allowing the risks of price changes to be transferred to professional risk takers. For instance, a manufacturer can protect itself from price increases in raw materials they need by hedging in the futures market.

Hedging has two types, hedge sale and hedge purchase. A person can buy a commodity and sell futures at the same quantity as protection against fluctuation in prices when he is still holding the stock.

You might think that this is gambling, but the fact is that speculation refers to the condition of a legitimate enterprise based on the current condition of the market trends. However, it is very risky for inexperienced futures traders who try to predict the market and speculate without having enough resources or experience.

Since the prices are distributed via telecommunications network and the internet, it makes online futures trading very convenient and simple for an individual. Nowadays many brokers offer their services for trading commodity futures online. Because more risk is involved in online futures trading than stock trading, you must judge for yourself whether or not it is worth the added risk of trading commodity futures online.

Keep in mind that an investment in futures can result in losses. Past performance results does not necessarily indicate future performance results.

Its Not Rocket Science

Wagerweb.com has posted odds offering bettors the chance to predict which Major League Baseball team Roger Clemens will return to. Clemens is clearly enjoying the attention he is garnering from his four suitors. Lets take a look at how Clemens has played this situation thus far, and how it will play out at the end.

THE EASY MARK:
Roger Clemens enjoyed opening day in Arlington Stadium, sitting next to owner Tom Hicks. When Clemens was introduced and shown on the scoreboard, the fans went crazy. Do the Rangers, who have gone all these years searching for pitching, really have a shot at Roger Clemens? Well, the Rangers are an improved team, with Kevin Millwood leading some young up-and-coming pitchers. And it would do wonders for Clemens legend to ride into Arlington on his horse and lead them to their first World Series. Is it going to happen? No. Why would Clemens pitch in a hitters park for a team which, despite their improvements, is not a serious World Series contender? More likely, Roger was paying attention when Tom Hicks bid against himself to sign Alex Rodriguez to his franchise-crippling $250 million dollar contract. This is exactly the type of guy you want to draw into the bidding. Wagerweb.com has the odds on Clemens going to the Rangers at 6-1. Trust me, its far longer than that.

AN OFFER HE CANT REFUSE:
Roger Clemens still keeps in touch with buddies Derek Jeter and Jorge Posada, and there were reports that Jeter had his ear during the World Baseball Classic. And if Clemens is looking for a sure bet to get to the playoffs, its been a while since the Yanks sat out October. Can Clemens return to the Yankees? Probably not. Roger Clemens already got a Hummer as a retirement gift, and you have to figure, after feasting on weaker National League number eight hitters, and pitchers feeble attempts to catch up to his fastball, he might not be dying to face more formidable American League lineups. If Randy Johnson keeps looking his age, can George Steinbrenner make Roger Clemens an offer he cant refuse? Could happen, but George will never let Clemens skip road trips in fear that all of his stable of superstars will demand the same special treatment. At 1:2, this is not a good bet.

FINISH WHERE HE STARTED
Imagine the nostalgic feeling of coming back where you began your career, and leading that team to a World Series. What a perfect symmetry to a career. Almost like a movie script. Only the impact of leading the Red Sox to a World Series is not nearly what it was two years ago. The Red Sox already have had a hero who started in their organization come back and lead them to the Promised Land. And that hero wore a bloody Red Sock. How can Clemens possibly top that? Besides, if the Red Sox really get close, Mr. Steinbrenner may very well make him an offer he cant refuse. At 1:1, I just cant see this as a good bet.

FINISH WHAT HE STARTED
The first year, Clemens led the Astros to the playoffs. His second year, he helped them to their first World Series. Why not finish what he started? The Astros are off to a great start. Besides, the Mets, Cardinals and, possibly the Phillies, who can you remotely predict can stop them from at least getting there? His best friend Andy Pettitte has mentioned the possibility of retirement after this year (Dont bet on that, though). Houston offers him a chance to stay close to home and it lets him skip those pesky road trips. They have already made him a generous contract offer. The odds are 2:1.

After all that analysis, it must come down to this: If you could work closer to home, travel less, and not have to work as hard, for similar money, what would you do? Come on, this may be Roger Clemens, but it is not rocket science. Bet the 2:1 on him returning to the Astros. It may be the best bet available on the entire website.

How to Improve Cash Flow in Your Cleaning Business

Copyright 2006 The Janitorial Store

In any business, but especially in a small business, cash flow — money coming in and money going out — is important to the success of the business. Money going out is the easy part; there are always expenses: rent, supplies, equipment, salaries, etc. that you need to pay. But sometimes getting money to come in from your customers can be a slow and time-consuming process.

Most commercial cleaning businesses charge on a monthly, after the fact, basis. Special services such as carpet cleaning and window washing may be added on to the monthly bill or charged after completion. Residential cleaners often charge after each cleaning, which can be on a weekly, biweekly or once a month basis.

Customers may be slow to pay, which will adversely affect your cleaning business’ cash flow. It could mean that you might have to dig into your cash reserves to pay your bills. It may also mean that you have to spend time as a bill collector making phone calls or perhaps even sending out statements and collection notices to remind customers of past due bills. How do you get your customers to pay on time?

Start by always having a signed contract or proposal. Although this seems obvious it is important to discuss payment terms in the contract, with approval by both parties. Make sure that your contract includes not only when payment is due, but what the penalties are for late payment.

Include all relevant information on your invoices. Invoices should include more than just the cleaning client’s name and services provided. Include when payment is due, late payment penalties and a contact name and phone number for any questions about the invoice.

Do you provide cleaning services to government entities or large corporations? Government offices and large corporations generally have cut off dates for each billing payment cycle. You may have to get your bill in before a certain date or they won’t pay it until the next payment cycle. For example, you may have to have your invoice in by the 25th or it may sit in someone’s in-box for another month. Ask the billing agent or accounts payable department when they need your invoice so you receive payment on time.

Send out your billings promptly. You may do everything for your cleaning business from marketing to meeting with prospective clients to cleaning buildings. It is easy to put some things off, but don’t let your billings be one of them. Make sure to send out your bills at the same time each month, or if your contract indicates that you bill right after a service is completed, then send out the invoice immediately.

Many cleaning companies require bills to be paid within 30 days (net 30). Perhaps you could offer discounts if the customer pays their invoice early. Consider offering a 2% discount if they pay the invoice within 10 days. Many of your clients will take advantage of the discount.

To keep cash flow coming in sooner, consider shortening your billing cycles. Instead of having payment due in 30 days, require payment in 15 days (net 15). To avoid any confusion state the specific due date on your invoices.

Ask for payment up-front. Although this is not a typical payment method for a cleaning business, for many other businesses getting payment up-front is standard. Offer an incentive for your cleaning customers to pay up-front – discounts, preferred cleaning times, or deductions on supply prices.

When signing up a new cleaning customer, ask if they have special billing needs. As with government entities, other cleaning customers may have specific deadlines to process invoices. You may have cleaning clients who prefer to be billed mid-month and not the end or first of each month.

Give your clients an alternative of paying by credit card. If you don’t accept credit cards think of setting up an account on the Internet (through PayPal or similar payment system). These companies allow you to invoice your clients through e-mail and then they can use their credit card to pay for cleaning services.

Check with your clients regularly to make sure they are satisfied with the cleaning services your company is providing. Clients have been known to hold payment if they are not happy with their service even though they have not told you there is a problem!

Remember, your clients are in business to make a profit and so are you. Getting paid is how you pay your employees, grow your business and pay your bills. Make sure that your payment policies are stated ahead of time, communicate with your clients and provide a good service. Keeping a good incoming cash flow is vital to the stability and growth of your business. Don’t be afraid to let your customers know that you expect prompt payment for a job well done!

Quarterbacks will be back!

Some of the players that suffered important injuries last NFL season as Carson Palmer, Daunte Culpepper, Drew Brees, Donovan McNabb, Brian Griese, Chad Pennington and Marc Bulger have something in common: they will try to be present at the next Football season this 2006, basically forgetting they had some physical problems just a few months ago.

Next NFL season will start next September as every year, but we are waiting to see which of the players will be able to start off in good shape after that kind of injuries.

Probably the most terrible case occurred on the first round of the playoffs when Carson Palmer from the Bengales of Cincinnati suffered the shatter of three ligaments on his left knee, fact that made him leave the match against Pittsburg.

This unfortunate incident happened after throwing a ball to score on the first move of the game against Pittsburg. It was Palmers best season during his career with 101.1 points, 3836 yards, 67.8% complete passes and 32 touchdowns.

The other players I previously mentioned also had serious problems last year and maybe one of the main questions is whether they will be really prepared to face the next football season. Also, I imagine that they as players are wishing to get better and to give their best for their teams and for the main passion of their lives: football.

NFL season is the most awaited event of the year and it is not going to be the same without these quarterbacks and all the effort they always place in every single game they play.

Hoping you will get better, good luck guys!

Writing Wrongs: Editors Help Students Avoid Costly Errors

College students struggling to write the perfect paper often turn to friends or parents for help in correcting everything from punctuation to syntax errors to misspellings.

Chances are, however, that unless Mom and Dad are working for The Washington Post, some things are going to fall through the cracks, and junior may be less than thrilled with his final grade.

Students have another resource for help polishing those all-important essays: online editorial services like Scribendi.com.

“It’s important to have someone check your work before you hand it in,” says Chandra Clarke, a director of Scribendi.com. “Especially if you’ve been working on it in the wee hours of the morning, as students often do.”

A variety of research supports the need for an objective set of eyes to critique writing and fix errors. A study by Meredyth Daneman and Murray Stainton of the University of Toronto tested whether proofreading one’s own writing is harder than proofreading someone else’s.

Subjects spent 30 minutes writing an essay, then proofread their own papers as well as those written by others. The results showed that subjects were less able to detect errors in their own essays. The reason?? Self-generated text is too familiar to the writer. In other words, people usually see what they expect to see in their own writing, not necessarily what is there.

And while most writers will run spelling and grammar checks on papers before turning them in, this is not a foolproof solution. That’s because there are two types of spelling errors: non-word errors, which create a string of letters that do not make up a real word, and word errors, in which the misspelling results in a real word that is incorrect in the context of the sentence.

Humans catch only 75 percent of word errors, according to Raymond Panko, professor of information technology management at the University of Hawaii. Spell-checkers catch non-word errors but miss word errors – the very mistakes that people have a hard time finding.

An editor, however, can provide a fresh set of eyes and catch errors that a student didn’t even know existed. In addition, editors tend to look at the text with no preconceptions about what is supposed to be there, so they won’t miss those image-hurting mistakes.

Some services like Scribendi go a step further by offering constructive criticism and explaining word usage issues and standard writing practices. Students get a better document while learning how to improve their own writing. – NU

Space Exploration – What’s Out There?

The first Space Exploration started in 1957 with the launch of the first artificial satellite, Sputnik 1, sent into space by the Soviets. Since ancient times people have dreamed of leaving their home planet and exploring other worlds not known to man. Every era through out history has had a belief as to what the “heavens” are made form. The Greeks believed that the stars and space were made of a material called “Quitenses”, and other culture once thought that the stars were made of their peoples passed away.

We know now what stars are really made of; they are made of various gases that explode over and over again. Up until about 43 years ago people did not have the means to travel to or send objects into space. The hardest part of traveling into space was developing rockets that were powerful enough and reliable enough to boost an object into space.

Common heard of Space Exploration terms are Comets and Asteroid’s. A comet is basically small, rocky, and icy and revolves around the sun. When a comet passes close to the sun some of the ice turns to gas. This gas and some loose dust creates a long, bright tail that trails behind the comet.

If a comet was to hit the earth, it would cause some serious damage. As an example even if something relatively small in size hit the earth, it would cause great damage. Small from an comet’s point of size is around 200 metres in diameter and if this was to hit an ocean it would create devastation to all cities within a large radius.

Asteroid’s are described as small or minor planets that are members of the solar system and move in what are called elliptical orbits. They are usually found between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter.

My Prized Piece of Baseball Memorabilia

Back in the day …

I used to deal in baseball cards, and some memorabilia in the mid to late 1980′s. Through an old client I had the opportunity to sell a very rare piece of baseball lore. The piece that I was fondest of was a rare document signed by Harry Wright. A founding father of the game. The document was a contract of some player that was signed by Harry Wright, the manager, circa 1870. It was written on Cincinnati Red Stockings letterhead.

I was impressed. I was so excited to be entrusted with this rare artifact. I remember saying to myself.
Oh my god. You have got to be kidding.
I was astonished. I was in awe. I felt like I was let into a special group.

I sold the piece in the range of $10,000 – $12,000 if memory serves me. But selling the piece did not compare to the dreams I had about the contract.

Imagine, what it must have been like 130 years ago on the ball field. The baggy uniforms, and the teeny gloves for the players. The pitchers, hurling both games of a double header was common practice and a home run was a rarity. Boy has the game changed.

Handling that document made the early times of baseball real for me. I visualized those men playing in those old ballparks. I felt like I was part of that time. I was having a dream. I was there, back in the late 1800′s sitting in the stands. Smiling and watching baseball – Back in the day.

Handling this artifact was like punching a time clock and never punching out. I was in baseball memorabiliaville.

I can see why some people are so zealous about baseball memorabilia. Their baseball fantasy made a lot more sense to me after I sold this Harry Wright piece.

Traveller’s Journal: Snowdonia National Park – Day 5

If there was one thing I had noticed from my travels around Wales it was the extensive use of the Welsh language. The people of Wales are extremely proud of their country and rightly so. The language helps Wales keep its identity. Many are resentful of English domination and prefer the idea of more independence.

But one thing was for sure. No one could deny the natural beauty of their country and the warmth of its people. The A4086 to Betws-y-Coed may have been slow progress through the narrow twists and turns of the valley roads, but the sheer beauty of the region made the time irrelevant.

Another great aspect of the valley roads was the low volume of traffic. This was the Easter Bank Holiday weekend and any journey made in England would require a very early start. But with a population of little more than a million people, there’s enough room for everyone.

Betws-y-Coed is a quaint little village just within the boundaries of Snowdonia National Park amongst the deep Welsh valleys. Commercial activity has led to the village outgrowing itself and it now bursts at the seams. Retail outlets fight for every square inch of space.

I decided to take advantage of this retail war and buy some new walking boots. After parking on this ridiculously steep hill I made my way to the action. My vulnerability to ingrowing toenails means having to buy at least a size bigger than I actually am to ensure enough space for comfort.

The big sale signs outside one store looked promising so I ventured in and soon found myself amongst the maps. There’s something therapeutic about looking at maps. Maybe it’s the natural human tendency to travel and explore.

The therapy however, only lasts for as long as you are left alone and out of the corner of my eye I spotted a shop assistant approaching in stealth-like fashion. I thought of making a dash to the other side of the bookshelf, but I had already fallen victim and had to admit defeat.

“The Ordinance Survey provides great detail in a 1:50000 scale as well as being weatherproof in its laminated cover,” the man droned monotonously.

“Great,” I replied, struggling to find any enthusiasm. “Where are the boots?”

Are You Ready To Buy A Home Theater Audio System?

Are you ready to buy a home theater audio system? Here are several tips to help you find the right audio system for you.

1. Spend some quality time with the room you are going to put your new home theater audio system. Believe it or not but the room is as much a component in your home theater system as any of the electronics you will ever buy. Ask yourself which room you will be putting your new system in. Consider whether or not this room is going to be used solely for you system or will it be used for other activities. Will there be any size considerations for the components and speakers you plan on using with the dimensions of the room?

Consider drawing a map of your room and sketch the possible placements of your furniture, components and speakers. Measure the rooms dimensions and write them down. Make a list of all the inputs you currently have and will continue to use. Make a list of the inputs you intend to add to your new audio system. You should write down which components are going to need cables and wires. Also, write down the approximate lengths of those cables and wires. Once all of this is worked out carry this information and map with you when you go out to buy your new audio system.

It is important to arrange your room for optimal picture and sound by reducing screen and hard surface reflections. Do not forget the TV picture is not very pretty when light is reflecting off the screen. Also, audio is not so wonderful when sound waves are reflecting off hard surfaces like bare walls and windows.

2. Decide on what you want to experience when you settle down on your couch with your partner and a big bowl of popcorn. Ruminate on the experience you want before you ruminate on your budget. Is it stereo, surround sound, or primarily movies?

3. Spend a few hours looking around on key sites and forums and you will know more than most. Friends, family, trade and consumer magazines and inquiring jaunts to your favorite electronic store will help you gain customer leverage. Do not buy anything at this point. Get as much information stuffed into your brain that will help you when the time comes for you to buy your system.

4. Revisit the drawing of your room and your research. You will ultimately end up with two, possibly three choices. By now you should be a confident consumer. Decide what you absolutely want.

5. There are values out there the trick is to be an expert on home theater audio systems. Keep your eyes open for great deals. Big electronic stores offer promotions, online manufacturers can offer radically lower markup than retailers and online auctions offer access to deals all over the world.

6. Dont get stuck with a mismatched TV size for your room. The key here is balance. If the TV is too big then you tend to see the details of the screen, not the image. If the TV is too small you might feel like youre sitting in the nosebleed section. Here is an equation to help you decide the best screen size for your room.

2.5 x The size of you TV screen = Suggested viewing distance

Yes, Your Office Might Be Causing You Pain

Once upon a time, it was believed that heavy lifting and dirty work would be the main work-related causes for people seeking pain relief. It was once believed that people who worked in offices and the like were at a lower risk of contracting diseases due to their work, as opposed to the ones that worked in the field. Of course, that bit of conventional wisdom is now being tossed out the window. In the modern office’s cubicle-based environments, employees are at just as high a risk of work-related illness as anyone else. According to some studies, they might be even worse off that people working in the field depending on the conditions of the working environment.

Things to Consider Before Being a Baseball Coach

Thus you decided to become a trainer of baseball, perhaps because your child had a team but nobody was been willing to intensify to give particular lessons or perhaps you have just a passion to work in this field. That which it reason is really is not the important factor. Each trainer wants a team of profit and each player wants the same thing but this all to find them below the total effectiveness of the team as a whole, including the trainer. A trainer is a professor and as any good professor should always seek manners to you of improving. These are the things that you want to divide with your team. You cannot even have much, if any experiment to give particular lessons but to familiarize themselves just with the foundations is a great manner of starting.

Treating Anxiety Creatively

We are all creative beings. Man’s creative mind made him reach the moon or the peak of the highest mountain in the world, or travel the world and to reach outer space. Our creativity brought out inventions that have improved the quality of human life — all of which are the end result of man’s creativity. Suffice it to say, creativity produces works of art, which is such a large part of our everyday lives. We can see them in almost every corner, every space, and wall around us. It has been used as a visual means of communication and expression dating back to prehistoric times. Art speaks of originality, individuality, a creative process, graphic materials, colors, textures, spontaneity, risk, alternatives, and imagination. But art is not only for the creative minds or the famous painters. Art is also a healthy way to express the way we feel and deal with our emotions. Art has been of central importance to the healing practices of many cultures over much of human history, and as time went on, through observations and research, an art-based therapy method has been developed and called Art Therapy.

How To Care For Your Favorite Team Jersey

You are a diehard fan. You know all the statistics about every player on your favorite team. You go to every game you can get to, even if it means you have to cross six states to cheer on your boys to victory. You have a room in your house devoted to the team, festooned with every piece of memorabilia you can buy as a tribute to their skill. You even have rituals on game day that must be respected and you actually think that if you dont keep these traditions, your team could lose the game. You once wore the same pair of smelly socks for half a season because your favorites were on a winning streak. You are a true fan and the only jersey that can touch your back is one that is officially licensed.

While it is admirable that you want quality team wear, it brings about a problem on laundry day. Licensed jerseys are expensive and they are also temperamental when put in the wash. You wouldnt want any thing to happen to your game day jersey, because that might jinx the team. With the fate of the game in your hands, it is important to pay careful attention to the care that goes into laundering your favorite jersey.

Most clothes will easily survive a romp through the washer and dryer even if it is set at the wrong temperature or cycle, but take no chances with your team jersey. Read the label carefully and do everything that it recommends. If it calls for cold water, by all means, use cold. If it instructs you to dry your jersey flat, dont you dare throw it in the dryer. Dont take even a minor liberty with the label directions on your jersey.

When you first purchase your official team jersey, carefully look over any hanging tags before you pull them off and throw them away. Sometimes they include special care instructions and need to be read carefully. If they do contain information about washing your jersey, set them aside or at least wait to throw them away until you have laundered the item at least one time.

Always wash your jersey right away to remove stains like mustard, ketchup, or beer. The longer these stains sit on your jersey the harder they will be to remove. Pre-treat them and then wash the jersey according to the label directions. Some store bought pre-treatment products can be too harsh for your official team jerseys, so homemade solutions like baking soda, vinegar, or plain seltzer are much better options.

When you put your jersey into the washer, make sure that you always turn it inside out. This will help to preserve the life of the numbers and logos on the front and back of the jersey. Whether they are sewn or ironed on, turning the shirt inside out will keep them looking newer longer. There is nothing worse than wearing a jersey that has cracking numbers on the front.

If you are afraid to put your jersey in the dryer, you could lay it flat to dry or even line dry it. If you decide to line dry it, just make sure it doesnt spend the day in direct sunlight or it could fade. If the instructions on your jersey allow you to place it in the dryer, make sure you remove it as soon as it is done. This will prevent wrinkles and save you from having to iron the jersey. If for some reason you do have to iron your jersey, make sure that the iron you use isnt too hot and test a small area in an obscure area before you iron the whole thing. If it tests ok, carefully iron around the numbers or any designs on the shirt. The heat of the iron could burn or melt the designs, ruining your favorite jersey.

If you take good care of your jersey, it should last through many seasons of rooting for your favorite team and you can have the peace of mind that comes with knowing you are doing your part as a fan to ensure a victory.

Quick Tune-Up For Spring Bicycle Riding

For those of us who put our bikes away for the winter, the time has come to dust them off and get ready to ride. When bringing a bike out of storage, a mini tune-up is necessary. Pay special attention to the following four areas: chain, derailleur components, brakes, and wheels.

~~Chain~~
If you have been using an oil-based lubricant, consider switching to a wax-based product. The only advantage to an oil-based lubricant is that it needs to be applied less frequently, but in every other way, wax-based is superior. For instance, oil collects trail dust and other things abrasive to the chain, whereas wax sheds abrasives. A recommended wax-based lube is White Lightning.

If you’ve been using oil-based chain lube, whether you want to switch to wax or not, you should remove the chain and clean it with a solvent to degrease it before adding fresh lubricant. Depending on your typical riding conditions, using a solvent to degrease the chain needs to be done once a year at a minimum.

~~Derailleur Components~~
Lubricate the pivot points using a good petroleum-based lube. I use Tri-Flow. Next, lubricate and adjust the derailleur cables, which might have stretched over the winter. Adjust so that shifting is crisp.

~~Brakes~~
Again, lubricate the cables. Use either petroleum- or wax-based lube depending on how dusty the expected typical riding conditions will be. Adjust the cables, which might also have stretched over the winter.

Check the pads: is there plenty of rubber; do the pads hit the rims evenly? If using fluid-actuated disc brakes, check the brake fluid level in the reservoir.

~~Wheels~~
Spin the wheel slowly checking for true. The wheel should not wobble at all. If it wobbles a little bit and you have the tools and skill, you can make minor adjustments using a spoke wrench. But if there is substantial wobbling, take the wheel to a shop and have a professional true the wheel.

Check tire pressure, which is bound to be low after a winter of storage. Inflate to the manufacturers recommendations that are stamped on the tire.

Now give the bike a once-over. Is the seat adjustment still a good fit? Is there excess play or tightness in the bearings of the wheels, crank, pedals, and headset? Also, for full-suspension bikes, check the suspension joints.

From this once-over, you will be able to determine whether it is time for a major tune-up. This could range from a few adjustments to cleaning and/or replacement of some parts. Opinions differ on how often a major tune-up is needed. It depends on how much you ride, and how much maintenance you perform yourself.

Whether you do the major tune-up yourself or take the bike to a reputable bicycle shop, every now and then the following maintenance is necessary for optimal performance and safety: repacking bearings and adjusting wheel axles, headset, crankset and pedals; replacing cables; truing the wheels; making overall adjustments, such as to the derailleur and brakes.
